Reach
for the World - READ!
The Fort Myer CYS Reading
Program is open to all children and youth, toddlers to 18 years, who are either residents of FMMC or enrolled in CYS or CDC at Fort Myer. Participants
pick up a Reading Passport at CYS or the Library and for books
they either read, have read to them, or read to someone else,
they get credit towards a reward book. Many of the reward
books were a gift from the RDB Group, Inc. The primary goals
of the program are to develop an interest and enjoyment in
reading, to encourage reading as a hobby and a life skill,
to enhance school goals and programs, and to reward readers
with books. Program brochures that have all the details for
participation are available at CYS, CDC, or the Library. For more
information please call (703) 696-7647 or
the Library at (703) 696-3555.
