Wedding Packages


The Five Star Catering Wedding Packages bring together

all the elements for a memorable, elegant Reception

into one convenient order. These Packages offer

a variety of menu and service selections

that create unique and special Receptions every time.

Upon request, our sales staff will gladly design

a Reception suited to a bride’s individual preferences.

However, if you select an a la carte reception,

the food & beverage minimums are:

Abrams & Chaffee $3500
Devers or Campaign $2500
Fort McNair
Crystal Ballroom $5500

Wedding Package Guidelines
Reception length is based on the type of service desired.

Seated service packages are scheduled for four hours.

Cocktail Packages are scheduled for three hours.

A minimum of 75 guests is required at the listed
per person price for all Wedding Packages at Fort Myer
and 100 guests at Fort McNair.

All Wedding Packages Include:
Menu Selections
3 Hours Open Bar Service for Seated Receptions
2.5 Hours Open Bar Service for Cocktail Receptions
Champagne Toast
Two Carafes of Wine for each Guest Table (Seated Receptions)
DJ
Wedding Cake
Floral Arrangements for the Cake Table,
Head Table, Guest Tables, and Buffet Table
2 Votive Candles for Guest Tables ($1.00 Each Additional Candle)

Wedding Reception Information
There are minimum guest guarantees for each room.
(See Guarantees, below)
Fees to extend reception length (see below)
does not include food, beverage, and entertainment charges.
Food, beverage, and entertainment
extensions must be negotiated with the sales office.


Extension Fees
Ballroom $300/hr.
Large Rooms $200/hr.
Small Rooms $150/hr.
Daytime Saturday functions end no later than 4:00 pm;

evening Ballroom functions start no earlier than 7:00 pm.

Bookings outside of these parameters

are accepted subject to a $2,000 surcharge for ballrooms

and a $1,500 surcharge for large rooms.

Vendor Contacts
A select group of vendors provide some services

included in our packages.  It is recommended that the client

make contact with these vendors as soon as the deposit is paid.

Vendor names and points of contact are available

through the Five Star Catering Sales Office.

Pricing


Our menus feature a selection of our most popular items. 

However, we are delighted to arrange menus
to suit your specific requirements. Sunday, Monday,

and Holiday events are assessed an extra 10% service charge.

There is no additional tax added.

Prices and menus are subject to change without notice.

(Prices cannot be locked.)  Five Star Catering must provide

all food and beverage items (with exception of specialty cakes).
Club policy does not allow either food or beverage
(except for specialty cakes) to be removed from the
Club premises. A fee of $1.25 per guest will be
assessed for specialty cakes not provided by
Five Star Catering and they must come from
commercial (not home) bakeries. In the event two
entrees are requested for seated meals, the higher price

of the two will be charged for all attendees plus $2.95 per person.

Upon request we will order specialty wines, beers,

and liquors for your event.  However, any remaining
quantities of these specialty items must be
paid for in total at the contract price
and become the property of the club.

A $250 fee is charged for cleaning up rice,
confetti, rose petals, or other such matter that is
thrown in or around the catering facility.

Deposits and Payments


Deposits must be received at the time of the booking

in order to confirm a reservation. This deposit will be applied

to the final bill. Deposits become non-refundable

10 days after booking. All accounts are paid in full by Club Card,

VISA, MasterCard, American Express, cash or

cashier’s check within one week prior to the event.
Payment by check must be received 2 weeks in advance.
(Ref. AR215-1, AR215-5, DODI 7000.14) Any remaining balance
will be paid no later than the event’s conclusion.

Guarantees


A single point of contact (POC) must be designated for
making and confirming all arrangements. If the POC is
someone other than the sponsor, the sponsor must give
their written consent authorizing them to act on their behalf.

Event details must be arranged one month

in advance of a function. Final guest count and payment in full

is due one week prior to the event; if the actual
number of guests exceeds the guarantee given, you will be
charged for the additional guests.  If the count is lower, the
guaranteed amount still applies. Without a guarantee,

you will be charged for either the estimated

or actual guest count, whichever is highest.

The Catering Office reserves the right to make menu substitutions

when the guest count increases after the guarantee is given.

Event rooms are assigned according to the

anticipated number of guests. If there are fluctuations

in the number of attendees or changes in event requirements,
the Catering Office may reassign the event room.

Service and Room Charges


A  20% service charge will be applied for all food

and beverage items for wedding packages.

Events scheduled on Sundays, Mondays, and holidays

are assessed a 10% service charge.

Seated meals have guest count minimums

and receptions have food revenue minimums.
Appropriate room rental fees will be assessed

when the guest count or food revenue minimums are not met.

Event Duration
Seated luncheons and cocktail receptions

are scheduled for 3 hours. Seated dinners are for 4 hours.
Charges to extend the length of the event are based on
the time and location of the event. The fee equals
twice the room rental amount (see rental fees).

A flat fee of $2,000 is assessed for Saturday events

when scheduled outside of set start and end times.

Audio Visual Staging
One podium with microphone is provided

at no charge. Second podium with microphone

is an additional $35. An A/V system is available for rent

at $150 for the duration of the event.  The sales staff

can assist with arrangements for the rental

and set-up of additional basic audio visual equipment.

Customers are responsible for making their own arrangements
for equipment we cannot provide.

Linen and Decorations
White table linen, skirting, and a selection of

napkin colors are provided free of charge.

Dinner service includes 2 votive candles per table.

Pricing for decorations, ice carvings, theme parties

and floral centerpieces is gladly discussed.

Liability and Security
Customers are responsible for any damages

to the facility during the contracted times by any

of their attendees, employees, or independent contractors
under their control or hire. The catering facilities

are unable to assume responsibility for damage to,

or loss of any merchandise or articles left or sent

to a facility prior, during, or following a customer’s event.
Customers need to arrange for security

when displaying exhibits or merchandise of value.
